((( Happy Tuesday folks! )))

It has been and will be a madhouse for us for the next few months.
With so much to do and prioritize, it really does seem like the days AND nights are getting shorter by the seconds ~ don’t you think?
Amidst our busy work schedule and home relocation process, we’ve also been working behind the scenes with many wonderful people who amaze us with their acumen in what they specialize, and especially their warm generosity.

Thoughts: Fooling Around

As we age and live life with all it has to offer, whether we like it or not, to experience different sensations that compels one to grow, and thereafter becomes an act of impelling oneself through what has been learnt. We build our own set of beliefs by learning from our own history and mostly through the history of others and life.

Very so often, we are inspired by another who has lived through life in their own right. We connect with their thoughts, their ideas, their beliefs. And we as interconnected beings, continue to spread this light in the world of darkness.

One of the many things I belief is being true to oneself.
It’s a form of self-respect ~ with it, it helps us to keep check of our own actions, because what we do affects another entity. We should be true to oneself and in that, it ripples out with how you act, think, and behave. But at the same time, we should not be callous with our words and actions.

I find the following words spoken by 1Rabbi Shalom DovBer of Lubavitch who told his son before his 2bar mitzvah one of life’s fundamentals of being a responsible adult in a nutshell.

“Three things you must know to be an adult:
1. Don’t fool yourself
2. Don’t fool others
3. Don’t let others fool you
– and do it all without trying to impress anybody.”

Have yourselves a wonderful and fulfilling weekend with your loved ones!
XO JR ❤

Style: Summer Day & Night

Its the weekend and with the summer heat onset, we need something easy to wear yet still stylish. I want something free and easy, something comfortable. Something I can throw on all day and night without thinking much.

So here it is, one same top, same pouch, same sandals, and same jewelry pieces from us truly, with two different bottoms to differentiate between day and night.

What do you think? Works for you? ;)

Stardust

Happy Wednesday folks!
It’s already the mid of the week, and what have we accomplished?
I feel like the white rabbit of Alice in wonderland, “I’m late, I’m late, I’m terribly late!”
But for what am I late, sometimes I ask. Why are we always rushing?
If we all slowed down our pace a little, things would still be accomplished.
We prefer to have quality over quantity, and when things are rushed, quality is compromised.

So! Having spent last week working on our designs and away from blogging, yesterday we had ‘The Happy Bracelets‘ (aptly named by Marina Kanavaki), bright one-colored beaded bands that are modern, fun, and everything about summer!

Today, we have Ms. Stardust!
She is beautiful and will dazzle espying eyes around you.
Intricately hand-stitched bead by bead to leave a trail of gold stardust, it would seem you have been blessed with some heavenly stardust on your wrist for some good luck!
And with Ms. Stardust, you won’t have to wait for another shooting star to make a wish – this stardust bracelet will always accompany you through your days.

JR Online Shop: www.jeannierichard.etsy.com

In this new collection, Ms. Stardust comes in three colors.
Our signature black and gold, the sweet coral pink and gold, and the trendy cool mint and gold.

Ms. Stardust has a versatile persona of being both modern sophistication and summery sweetness. Wear her alone, or with another striking color from The Happy Bracelet collection, and you immediately give it a fun and sweet look for summer and every season!

The cords used are waxed cotton to keep her fashion-eco-friendly to animals :)
And by request, you can choose from black, dark brown, or tan to your own personal preference. Here, we chose tan for Ms. Stardust Coral and Ms. Stardust Mint for a light aura, while for Ms. Stardust Black a matching black cord.

So what do you all think of Ms. Stardust? :D

Awarded for the Very Inspiring Blogger & One Lovely Blog

HELLO!!! *Waving frantically*
I know, I know… I have been missing a number of posts last week.
Time just seem to speed up since last week, don’t you think so?

So much has happened last week, allow me to list them out:

1. Our work is featured in Perlen Poesie on page 38, so if any of you in europe that have access to this number 1 German bead magazine, do grab a copy – issue #13!
They have highlighted our work on their contents page, marked in yellow circle below. :D

2. If you remember I had previously featured a very yummy yellow knitted shorts in our Thursday Zing post… well, I am about to receive my first yellow addition to my wardrobe from The Knit Kid (also from Germany) :D

3. My illustration work for a book for the counseling department of the National University of Singapore was published and received a copy :D

4. We’ve manifested 5 designs for our new series of bracelets, which I will be introducing one by one starting from tomorrow :D

5. We had scrumptious dinners at four different new restaurants, all worth the value of money for the great gastronomical delights! :D

6. And last but not the very least – received the Very Inspiring Blogger & One Lovely Blog from two wonderful wonderful blogger – first from Fashion & Style Guru, and then from  The Haute Frugalista :D :D

Thank YOU so very much Fashion & Style Guru and The Haute Frugalista! It really is heartwarming to know that you think we deserve these awards :D And the best part of such blogger awards is that we get to award other deserving bloggers! So, I am going to play this a little different – I will begin with the awarding the 15 nominees alphabetically:

1. Charming Trinity
2. Design Notes by Patricia Canfield
3. Destination Umbria
4. Gracefully 50
5. I love green inspiration
6. Le Zoe Musings
7. Little Maison
8. Marina Kanavaki
9. Over My Styled Body
10. Pret-a-Reporter
11. Satori and Silence
12. The sTori Book
13. Pho and Chips
14. Print and Pattern
15. Wholesome Cook

Okay, now for the boring part – 7 things about us ;)

1. We are both dreamers and anchors at the same time. When either one of us dreams, one of us will be the anchor to make sure we don’t get too carried away. So in a way, we balance each other out.
2. Jeannie loves tea and Richard loves coffee – this way, nobody gets to fight over drinks, haha!
3. We are both workaholics and often tire ourselves for the sake of perfection.
4. We believe in only one God and that we must put our trust in our faith in Him while it cannot be faith beneath reason, or in reason, but above reason. Forget logic, exercise faith!
5. We watch a movie every night over our late night dinner (about 1.30am). And it ranges from anime, cartoons, comedy, thrillers, epics, romance, etc from different countries namely, american, french, german, japanese, mongolian, tibetan, china, hong kong, taiwanese, korean, etc. Our current collection has the most in the horror genre not because we love to be frightened, but rather we are intrigued by what facts they got right and wrong. To date, we have not found anything that frightens us because our thumb of rule is, and should be for everyone – “fear only God”. We also love war films that inspire, recently watched War Horse and The Pacific. Love them!!
6. We always carry cat treats and can food in our grocery bag for the little stray kitties we meet along the way to our dinner at the local mall. :D
7. Gosh, my brain is fried… hmmm… yes… We believe that one should never steal. And what is the concept of stealing? Money? No, not just money. Even the idea of stealing another person’s sleep, peace, right to work, a lover, etc is stealing. So remember your intentions and always try to be mindful of your actions, think forward of the consequences of your next action.

There! Done! Wooh! LOL!

Hope you enjoyed reading my mundane blah blahs on a Monday ;)
Missed you all and hope you all missed us, XOXOXO! JR

Thoughts: Black Magic

“Do not be deceived by what you perceive.”
We live in a world of constant “black magic” of optical illusion.
Will this so-call ‘technology’ make us subconsciously loose our innate ability to discern what is real, and what is not.
With the daily drowning from the screen, one never knows.
Never forget who we really are, in God we trust.
