It has been a long time since I bought myself an item in the bag department.
I am in need of a black tote for everyday use.
I need it to be a magic bag where I can store my essentials like a Doraemon cat.
I look for details in the shape, sewing lines, handles, textured, embellishments…
It has to be simple, stylish, classic and a comfort to my shoulders.

This one is a classic, slightly more formal than the others.
I would carry it when I go shopping but not for grocery shopping. My heart would ache if it got scratched.

I love #10! The leather that is opaque, the shape so comfortable and contemporary to store everything and it is opened so that the cat will be ok! It is one of my fav type of bag!

I like the shape and the person’s style in the photo is like me, hahaha! SO I could visualize how I would look carrying it.
Only problem is that I just realize there is no zipper. And with the crime rate rising, I need to zip up because I don’t to be pick-pocketed or have people put things in my bag to frame me!
I really like #7. The gold hardware is beautiful against the black leather!! My vote goes to that one. Looks quite roomy, which is also good!
Ahh yes, it definitely looks roomy and the form will still be good when all my items are in it. Contemplating if I would carry this everyday even to the grocer? This bag is growing on me although #10 was my top choice. But this one has a zip!

Yes, I love this one too, my second choice.
I was surprised to see that the maker is from Singapore.
So that would mean I safe lots on shipping cost ~ LOL!
But no zip, I had forgotten about the zip aspect when I fell in love with it. I need to have the bag with a zipper cause pick-pocketing cases are rising.
It’s #4 – it has a structure and soft sheen. I’m on the search for a new bag too, so I’m happy you’ve posted this fine research! My last purchase has great pockets but not-so-great shoulder straps, and my favorite go-to bag is looking a little tired!

I like this bag for its shape, the leather wrapping on the strap and texture. Its quite similar to my number one choice ~ #10 but this one has an added advantage, it has a zip which I need!!
7!! Stylish, classic and functional! It will go with everything! From brunch to lunch to meeting. It doesnt feel like a tote nor does it look too big.

#7 does grow on me more and more.
I chose it because of the detailed design where the lines form like darts of a shirt. Also like it because the shape is firm and I do put all sort of things in my bag, including cat can food
So, a firm bag will hide all the jutting of items.
My first impression was #7, but I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them. It would totally depend on how the bag is to be used. Good luck!
